INHERITANCE OF YIELD AND SOME FIBER PROPERTIES OF LINE X TESTER HYBRIDS IN COTTON (Gossypium hirsutum L.)

The aim of this study was to determine the general combining ability (GCA) parents and specific their hybrid combinations evaluate vigor F1 by investigating genetic structure lines testers. carried out in randomized complete blocks design with three replications trial site Nazilli Cotton Research Institute 2015 2016 years. 28 hybrids (4 7 testers) were used as material which developed from line x tester method. Investigated properties except fiber length created populations influenced non-additive gene effect. values heterosis for seed cotton weight per boll, earliness ratio, ginning percentage, micronaire found positive while yield negative. In established populations, investigated traits affected Seed boll For Gloria, TMN 199 ZN 1018; ratio 199, GW 2357 170; Gloria; index İpek 607; percentage TMD 139 Flash, 607 UA 48; fineness 139; strength Gloria 48 best also performed overall abilities these traits. 607, 48, Flash 2357, ST 468 ADN 712 yield; 170 ratio; boll; index; 139, 170, 1018 ST-468 percentage; length; micronaire; indicated most promising had abilities.
